ABOUT ME

Greetings! My name is Fiona. I'm a 2D animator originally from Clarksburg, Maryland. I'm passionate about film, theatre, and animated media. I earned my B.F.A. in Animation with a minor in Sequential Arts at the Savannah College of Art & Design. When I'm not animating or helping to direct a film, I travel around the country selling my art at
comic conventions.Contact Me: [email protected]
Why Create Animations?
The definition of animation is creating the illusion of motion with a sequence of images. To me, animation is much more than that. It’s creating life from the unliving. Animation is merely twenty-four images shown over a second to convince us of the possibility of movement. That labor of love is what fuels my artistic endeavors. Animation allows me to convey concepts to others more powerful than words and more whimsical than film. It lets me take in others’ ideas and turn them into wonder. I can have my hands direct my heart’s desires onto a screen for hundreds to bear witness. After meticulously studying this medium for four years, it has taught me resilience, perseverance, and discipline. To create, you have to be passionate. I’ve spent several decades trying to figure out my passions. What part of the art world do I belong in? Should I follow my musical interests? Should I focus on the more traditional route of science? These questions all haunted me until I started the Pre-College Animation Program at the California College of Art. Once I got the groove of the animation principles and completed the basic exercises, I began to bloom. I kept animating faster than my teacher could assign me projects. I knew then I would become a 2D animator. My determination to improve as an animator only grows from project to project. I found my passion. I want to take any opportunity and absorb as much as I can. I strive to become the best animator I can be. I can’t wait for the next step in my animation journey.

STORYBOARDS
No Words
This project was in collaboration with Kenna Frank. The goal was to create a 50 panel story with no words. What follows is a comedic adventure following two bored boys letting their
imaginations run wild.
LoveCrest
This project was another collaboration with Kenna Frank. The goal was to create a trailer for a hypothetical movie and or series. We decided to create a riff off of Romeo and Juliet but with fairies and mermaids.
